The Port Clinton Police Department has immediate openings for the position of Police Officer and is accepting lateral transfers.
It is so important to work in law enforcement where the community supports the Police Department. As a Police officer you will find that support in Port Clinton.

· Detective Bureau
· Dispatch Center
· Patrol Section
· County Wide SRT Team
· Take Home Cruiser (Must reside in City)
Minimum Requirements:
· Complete Application
· There are no Age Restrictions
· Must Be OPOTA Certified
· Pass a background investigation
· Interview with hiring review board
· Pass Physical Agility Test
Pay Scale/Lateral Transfers:
- · No Experience Starting $25.37
2nd Year $29.79 80 Vacation
After 3 $33.85
- 2-4 Years’ Experience Starting $28.37 + 40 Hours Vacation
2nd Year $32.86 80 hours 2nd year
3rd Year $33.85
- 5+ Years Experience Starting $31.30 + 40 Hours Vacation
2nd Year $32.86 80 Hours 2nd year
3rd Year $33.85

Earn up to 6 weeks’ vacation
3 personal days per year
Up to 6 days credit sick leave a year
12 paid holidays, double time and a half if worked.
Shift differential up to $1.00 / Hour
Earn paid Sick leave .0576 hours for each hour of service.
